Spring Series - Floral Queen

Here's the next installment in this year's Spring Series. You've probably noticed, or you will now that I've told you, these season-themed outfits are brightly colored and very casual. For the most part, I've been on this lengthy stretch of outfits geared towards combat and adventuring. This week, and perhaps next week as well, I'm showcasing a social outfit. I've caught wind that some RPers from Landroval and Laurelin follow this blog and I'd hate to leave them feeling excluded. I've attended various events myself, such as the weekly Ales & Tales and the Eriador Music Society's concerts. Many players come well dressed and sometimes in large groups wearing the same outfit!

I've had a certain fondness for the Simbelmynë cosmetics introduced to LOTRO in 2012. The cloak, dress, and tunic have an off-white base, somewhere between a cream and light grey, with gorgeous rose-colored floral patterns. The circlet, which always retains the greenish and rose pigmentation, features a dyeable piece that sits at the forehead. For those of you who haven't obtained the Simbelmynë pieces, I hope they'll be included this year at the vendors. Turbine does have a habit of retiring festival rewards after they've been out for a few years while cycling in the new ones. I know for a fact that steeds get stabled every two years and I'm maybe fifty percent sure that's happened to cosmetics in the past. If anyone can confirm this for me, it'd be greatly appreciated.

No word on the dates for the 2014 Spring Festival yet, but I've caught wind of the Anniversary Festival. This year, the 7th year celebration begins on April 16, 2014 and ends on April 29, 2014. I'm hoping we've got some new barterable rewards! I'd hate to see a scramble to recolor old skins again this year.
